MEF International School, Izmir: Role play can help children explore language and ideas about the world, develop social competence, act out varied situations and appreciate the ideas of others. In Year 1, role-play opportunities change to match students’ interests and needs. So far this year, our Year 1 students have had the opportunity to take on roles in a veterinary surgery, home, cafe, forest pizzeria and Santa’s workshop.
