In English, our Year 1 students have been working with the story ‘Billy’s Bucket’. This story is about a boy with a magic bucket full of amazing sea creatures, such as clownfish, whales and mermaids. Year 1 students peered inside their own buckets and used their imaginations to talk about what they could see, using non-fiction books to extend their vocabulary, and drew pictures and made lift-the-flap books.
