MEF International School Istanbul is located in Ortaköy, one of Istanbul’s most vibrant and centrally located neighborhoods on the European side of the city. Situated on a beautifully landscaped 9-acre campus shared with MEF National Schools, our campus offers a safe, green, and inspiring environment where students learn, grow, and thrive within a close-knit international community.
Learning Spaces
Our campus is thoughtfully designed to meet the developmental needs of students at every stage of their educational journey.
The Early Childhood Centre (ECC), home to our Preschool (Age 3), Pre-Kindergarten (Age 4), and Kindergarten (Age 5) programmes, is located in a dedicated building that provides our youngest learners with a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. The centre features modern classrooms, age-appropriate furnishings, natural outdoor play areas, a wooden adventure playground, and a dedicated mini football pitch.
The Primary School (Grades 1–5) occupies the first three floors of the main building and includes a welcoming assembly area for community gatherings, collaborative learning spaces, and access to a rich library collection that supports both reading for pleasure and academic inquiry.
The Secondary School (Grades 6–12) is located on the upper floors and offers specialist learning environments, including fully equipped Biology, Chemistry, and Physics laboratories, dedicated computer laboratories, collaborative learning areas, and student common spaces.
Library
A centrally located Whole School Library serves students across all grade levels, providing an extensive collection of print and digital resources that encourage research, inquiry, and a lifelong love of reading.
Technology & Innovation
Technology is seamlessly integrated throughout the learning environment. High-speed wireless internet is available across the campus, and classrooms are equipped with interactive display technology and digital learning tools that support engaging, student-centred instruction.
Students and teachers benefit from access to a wide range of Microsoft, Google, and Apple educational platforms, enabling collaboration, creativity, and innovation both inside and beyond the classroom.

Performing Arts
The performing arts are an integral part of life at MEF International School. Our 588-seat auditorium, complete with balcony seating, hosts a wide variety of school productions, concerts, theatrical performances, assemblies, celebrations, and community events throughout the year.
The campus also includes two conference halls for meetings, presentations, workshops, and parent events.
Dedicated music studios for both Primary and Secondary students, together with multiple visual arts studios, provide inspiring spaces where students can explore their creativity and develop their artistic talents.
Sports & Well-being
Students enjoy outstanding sports facilities that support physical education, competitive athletics, and recreational activities throughout the year.
Facilities include:

Student health and well-being are supported by our on-site Health Centre, staffed by a full-time doctor and nurse, alongside experienced school counsellors who provide comprehensive social, emotional, and academic support.
Cafeteria & Canteen
Our campus features fully equipped dining halls designed specifically for our students, providing a comfortable, welcoming environment for daily meals.
In addition, as of 2026-27 School Year, Secondary students will be enjoying having a dedicated Student Canteen—a vibrant social space where they can relax, connect with friends, and showcase their talents through informal performances on the canteen’s small stage during break times.
This brand-new Student Canteen is currently under construction and is scheduled to open in August 2026, offering an enhanced space designed to foster student connection, creativity, and community.
Safety & Security
The safety of our students and staff is our highest priority. Our campus is monitored by a dedicated security team, with controlled campus access, perimeter fencing, and comprehensive CCTV surveillance to provide a safe and secure learning environment for our entire community.
