Modern Foreign Languages

Modern foreign languages are taught for three hours each week.  Students select their foreign language from French, Turkish or Spanish. Students who are beginners in English attend English support classes at this time.

Modern language courses provide the foundations for learning a new language. The curriculum is based on level A1 to B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).

As students in a single class vary in their knowledge and experience with their foreign language, Classes are taught as multi level classes with some students working at beginner level and others at higher levels to enable all students to develop their skills further.
