The lower secondary ICT course teaches students  necessary technological skills for the 21st century including web safety and evaluating information sources.

The course includes the use of software applications such as spreadsheets, databases, sound and video editing and presentation software. These skills can be applied by students in other subject areas to enhance their learning.

In addition to the software skills, students are taught concepts in computer science such including logic, algorithms and coding. These topics provide the foundation for students to enter the computer science course at IGCSE level.
