Artificial Intelligence is transforming education, the workplace, and society. At MEF International School, we believe our responsibility extends beyond teaching students how to use AI\u2014we prepare them to understand it, question it, and use it wisely.<\/span><\/p>

As an innovative IB World School, we embrace AI as a powerful educational tool that enhances learning, supports creativity, and develops future-ready learners. At the same time, we believe that technology must always serve human learning, never replace it. Relationships, curiosity, critical thinking, ethical judgment, and the guidance of expert teachers remain at the heart of every learning experience.<\/span><\/p>

Our approach is guided by the belief that students should graduate not only with digital competence, but also with the wisdom and integrity to use emerging technologies responsibly.<\/span><\/p>

Our AI Principles<\/b><\/h3>

Our use of artificial intelligence is founded on six key principles:<\/span><\/p>

Human-Centred Learning<\/b><\/h3>

AI enhances teaching and learning while preserving the essential role of teachers as mentors, facilitators, and educational leaders. Technology supports learning\u2014it does not replace the human relationships that are fundamental to education.<\/span><\/p>

Academic Integrity<\/b><\/h3>

Students are expected to use AI responsibly, ethically, and transparently. Original thinking, proper attribution, intellectual honesty, and respect for intellectual property remain central to all academic work.<\/span><\/p>

Critical Thinking<\/b><\/h3>

Students are encouraged to question, evaluate, and verify AI-generated information rather than accepting it at face value. We believe AI should strengthen independent thinking\u2014not replace it.<\/span><\/p>

Equity and Inclusion<\/b><\/h3>

We strive to ensure equitable access to AI-supported learning opportunities while recognising the diverse needs, backgrounds, and learning profiles of our students.<\/span><\/p>

Privacy and Security<\/b><\/h3>

Protecting personal data is a fundamental responsibility. AI technologies used within our school are selected and implemented with careful consideration of privacy, security, and international data protection standards.<\/span><\/p>

Lifelong Learning<\/b><\/h3>

Artificial intelligence continues to evolve rapidly. We encourage our students, educators, and families to develop the confidence and adaptability needed to learn alongside new technologies throughout their lives.<\/span><\/p>

Our AI Policy<\/b><\/h2>

MEF International School’s AI Policy provides a comprehensive framework for the ethical, responsible, and educational use of artificial intelligence across our school community.<\/span><\/p>
