Fortnight Escape Room – Our Grade 7 students participated in a Fortnite Themed Escape Room to utilize their nonfiction reading knowledge. Our students worked in teams to crack the codes at four different stations that tested their abilities to identify text structures, determine main and supporting ideas, interpret graph data and respond in multiple-choice style questions. Each station challenged conceptions about Fortnite, as students outlined the pros and cons of the popular game.
